We have built the most comprehensive Speech, Debate & Leadership training program for students in grades K-12. Regardless of the age level, it starts with the fundamentals of communication skills and then expands to critical thinking and collaboration skills, which are the core skills for students to succeed in the 21st Century

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

This course prepares students for a variety of academic and non-academic situations in which public speaking is required. Topics will include cultural conventions and speech, perceptions of others, verbal and nonverbal messages, and techniques of oral presentation and persuasion. Students will learn how to research, outline, and deliver short, formal and informal presentations as well as longer speeches. Students should expect to write a lot for homework to deliver speeches in class. (Poetry, impromptu, SPAR/debate, Original Narrative)
