The MCERP is a landscape scale restoration project restoring natural processes in the Malibu Creek watershed, benefiting both habitat biodiversity and human communities. For a century, the 100-foot-tall Rindge Dam, located in Malibu Creek State Park, has blocked migration of species and prevents natural sediment flows that replenish beaches. California State Parks is leading the project in removing the dam and reconnecting the 18-mile aquatic corridor. Caltrout is leading a variety of educational programs and events about the project, reconnecting people with our urban wild spaces.
