“It’s time for Dodger baseball.” Opening with Dodger Stadium in its first scene, The Sandlot is a beloved coming-of-age classic, nostalgic to many millennials. Scotty (Tom Guiry) moves to a new neighborhood in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles and, despite his unathletic nature, befriends a group of kids who play baseball at the sandlot. While paying homage to Babe Ruth, the LA Dodgers, and the 1960s streets and alleys of the Valley, The Sandlot is a universal gem about sweet adolescent innocence.
